Thanks for sharing your Eclipse Photos

I'd like to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who shared their Eclipse photos on the forum. They were fantastic.
It was amazing how just a couple of kilometres meant the difference between catching totality or clouds.
I wonder how many of us are now planning to head over to the US for the 2017 Eclipse to catch totality in the middle of the desert. :) :question:

The SWMBO and I were planning to head to the US in 2017 anyways so I have put in a request that we incorporate an eclipse mission.

The longest totality is in Kentucky and she has a hankering to visit that part of the world on our next USA trip so should work out.

I am planning to meet up with some people that I met in Hawaii during the Transit so should be fun.

Cairns was my first and my last... As I was just made redundant at work and very probably this means forced early retirement, I doubt I will be able to afford any extraordinary expenses in 5 years time.

I was lucky enough this time for that hole in the clouds.. and I don't dare to wish for much more.

Many commiserations Bojan. Was it from Ford? Although I was offered a good package at 59, I still recall the feelings of resentment at being cast off, especially as I reckoned myself a bit of a genius :rofl:

Not Ford, it was from PBN (Pacific Broadband Networks).
They moved all their engineering operations to China (Beijing, where I spend last 4 months).

Yes - thanks all - I am seriously thinking north for the annular in May 2013. I love the corona and all but I get a buzz with the bites. To see and image the ring of fire dead centre would be cool!

Yep, I am hooked too ! And after my small success of doing an eclipse tour in Cairns, My plan is to run an eclipse tour to the USA in 2017.
My only regret in doing the tour in Cairns, is that I ran out of time to catch up with all you Gals and Guys :rolleyes:
We were very blessed with clear skies in Edmonton for 20% eclipsed sun through to the finish. I will never forget Totality and the Diamond ring end. My 10YO Daughter said "That is the best thing I have seen in my life" I am almost 5 times her age & I would have to Agree :D

I really enjoyed being the the shadow, but I've ticked it off now, so won't do anything extraordinary to see another - unless living until 2028 proves to be extraordinary for me!
