Want a really good small tablet running Android 4.2 with 32gb of storage and wi-fi and the new one has mobile connection, then buy a Google nexus 7 IMO on par if not better than the Ipad.

It runs Sky Safari beautifully I've had a first release Nexus since Sept and it's worked flawlessly, quick, beautiful graphics etc

Read the reviews

Sorry maybe should be under equipment

+1

Been using the N7 for 2 months now and SkySafari for the same. Both work a treat.

You can see why Apple wanted to be in the 7" game, the form factor is so useful and portable.

Is the mobile data version out yet? I've been waiting for it since Apple over-prices the iPad mini

Who's a lucky boy then! :D
I received a Nexus 7 32GB for Christmas,
or at least I would have if Oz Post was a bit quicker, it's in the mail!

I'm wondering if anyone is using their N7 with Sky Safari in 'Push To' mode on their scope?
How have you mounted the N7 on your mount?
Are you happy with the accuracy?

Cheers

Bought a Nexus 32GB 7" yesterday and just installed SkySafari Plus! Fantastic app and excellent size tablet for using the app.

Is there a way to use micro USB to serial connection for telescope control?

Looking around on the net, it seems you can connect all sorts of things via the micro USB interface, mice, keyboards, gameboy controllers, memory sticks etc.
For some of them you have to 'root' your N7 though.
Check out: http://nexus7forum.com/forum/ for some ideas, also Youtube.

Cheers
