I would love to hear opinions for a mono ccd for my C11 to image at f10 and f6.3. My orion short tube has some flex in the eyepiece draw tube so it seems a self-guiding ccd (e.g. SBIG?) would be more reliable? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. :D

Try to pick a camera that will give you an ideal pixel size to focal length ratio. Something around 7+ microns probably in your case.

Thanks Grant. I am looking possibly at the SBIG range due to the self-guiding option. Do you or anyone have an opinion on them such as the STT-8300 or possibly even larger chip?

Guiding with a dual chip camera is no different to using a camera with an OAG and guide camera...
I don't do AP so can't suggest a large format camera.
I use an ATik 314L on my C11 +spectroscope..a beamsplitter guider, Lodestar camera using PHD and Al's Reticule - works 100%
