Shaver water damaged

I just dropped my shaver in the bathroom sink :(.

I just bought it about 2 weeks ago, it is a 9 in 1 groom kit, Phillips from the shaver shop.

Guessing warranty does not cover this, does this mean I have to go out and buy another one?

Nothing much inside them. I would open it up, let it dry out, spray a little WD40 on the motor and it will probably work

Place the entire unit into an air tight jar filled with uncooked white rice and leave it for a few days. Do not spray it with anything!

Yep, I agree with Greg.

The uncooked rice in the jar trick really works a treat, I tend to leave things for about a week though, just to really make sure.

I used to demonstrate to electrical apprentices the ineffectiveness of RCD's and ELCB's if an appliance is not earthed.
One demo was to plug a shaver and hairdryer into the power outlet, turn them on and lower them into a plastic bucket filled with water.
Fun to watch as the water boiled and bubbled as the appliances kept going.
Pulled them out after a minute or so with no damage caused to them.
So I'm sure your shaver will be okay.

Just tried the shaver and all is ok :).

Will be using that rice trick for the power connection and base of the shaver.

Will keep that rice trick for future reference as well :)
