Firstly I'd like to to say sorry to everyone in melbourne for the upcoming crappy weather.

I picked up my new baby today from Bintel, a 12" skywatcher goto dobbie :) (they are on sale atm).

Can't with for some clear weather, but this is melbourne so I might be waiting a while!

Very nice!

The proliferation of these decent sized, easy to get around dobs are a boon for the amateur astronomer!

Congratulations Paula.
The 12" dob is a beautiful thing and the SW Go To ones are about the best in the commercial lines.
I must have missed you in Bintel. I was in there Saturday morning. The boys told me I was only their 3rd customer that day, you may have been one of the other 2!
I also am partly responsible for any crappy weather as I picked up a 6mm Delos there!

Hope the skies cxlear and we hear some results.

I assume that Victoria will now be blessed with cloudy skies for at least a fortnight?

Hey Paula nice scope. Would like to hear what you think of the 12" in comparison to the 10", if the skies ever clear that is. Have decided that I'm the 'less is more kind' of observer and am trying to decide between 10/12" dobbie one of these days to go along with my 6" frac.
Cheers Matt
