Hi, has anybody seen a price here in OZ for the Celestron 80Ed?
I know the Saxon is around $650.00 and the Orion $699.00 just wondering if the Celestron is any cheaper.
cheers
David.

Mark Hodson has one of these, he's done a review for it in the IceInSpace Reviews (http://www.iceinspace.com/?reviews) section.

Hope that helps.

Don't know what the current price is but in the States there actually cheaper than the Orion by about $50US.

The fun part is trying to find some one here that doesn't go astronomical with mark ups and charge more than the Orion .

My thoughts exactly Mark, If I can't get a decent price here I will order one from the states. They are $429.00us about $70.00 cheaper than the orion now.
They even come with more accessories than the Orion and Skywatcher brands.I have read somewhere that the focuser altough rack and pinion is better than the crawford , it seems the crawford with some weight on it slowy moves out of focus, not good if you have a autoguider or camera in there.
Great review Mark enjoyed reading it.
cheers
