When I was watching it for the first time, up to the point just before the rover drops away, I thought "okay, looks pretty normal".

Then the rover drops and I then thought.. "Wow this is different"... Then at the point the the retro boosters fire and it banks to the left, it was like something out of a sci-fi movie! The whole visual concept of the animation changed for me. It simply looked literally unreal.

That clip will be all over the mainstream media by mid-July.

Its fantastic .. amazing .. daunting .. and happening byt the look of it. ITs awesome what these designers do while Im sleeping here in OZ. The idea of having an idea of how its going to be best to land another craft on Mars is space oddesy stuff .. Love it !!!

Doco's like that are better than the movies! Got my heart pumping.

What those engineers are doing, it's so exciting, it's genius.

PDT - is this right? -0700 from zulu? So approx 0600 for me here south of Darwin (as we are +9.5 from zulu)?
