I would like to hear from users of Megrez 90mm apos. I am thinking of buying one and would like to hear opinions, particularly colour correction and suitability for astrophotography.

Doesn't matter now-I have been told they have been discontinued.

:D Good news is , is the Long Perng 90mm f/5.5 apo at Andrews is still avaliable and $899 its a steal ( same scope with 2mm more apateure) . I have one and its coulor correction is very good , I like mine a lot.

Since the LP90mm f5.5 is the same lens as the superceded Megrez 88mm, I wonder if LP will release their version of the Megrez 90 mm now that it is superceded. LP made both these Megrez scopes for William Optics anyway.
Brian, you paid more for your LP90 than I did-they now list at $799.00 and are good value.

So, the colour is fine? I am thinking of getting this or a similar refractor in the future...

Hi Grant
The colour is fine on deep sky stuff. Sirius will show a slight reddish halo. The moon looks fine. Mars, being reddish anyway, will show a lot of red and Saturn shows a slight red halo.
Overall a nice scope, but is a semi-apo, not a full apo.
For the money, its a great buy.
If you want a full apo, then you would need to buy a TMB 90mmL, which is an FPL53 triplet in what appears to be the same tube assembly as the LP90mm. This scope would cost $2000 by the time you landed it here.
