Even the astronomer royal of Kandos (me, first shot) couldn't keep the skies totally clear!

Only about 5% of the event was free of clouds, but with the help of the Kanos School's science and other teachers, we manged a commendable 'throughput':
at least 400 kids and dozens of adults saw the transit through eclipse specs, an 8x50 finder and a C9.25.

Quite an exhilarating and exhausting 6 hours!

I've done my bit for public astronomy, now for a well-earned beer!

Good effort. I did the same thing at Carisbrook Primary. Clouds didnt break until 1:30 pm. Unfortunately only got half the school to get a look.

Hi,

Kandos School, great work. What impressive photos with the gear setup.

Exhausting for old pensioners yes:lol:, I had to come home and have a little lie down after our similar effort here at Randwick Girls' High.

Cheers
