What time should we be out looking? I figure Mike has the answer on the tip of his tongue but I can only find a forum about the past eclipses. I am a novice at this site, so sorry if the info is easy to find and I've missed it. Kate

Hi Kate,
If you look under Forums > General Astronomy > Celestial and Astronomical Events
Theres a Thread there titled: Upcoming Event: Partial Lunar Eclipse, 4th June 2012

FYI
That link then takes you to the area:
IceInSpace > Projects & Articles > How-To's
Down near the bottom is
Celestial events > Upcoming events
and is Titled:
Partial Lunar Eclipse, 4th June 2012 - Observing / Imaging Guide

All the Info you want is there
Hope this helps

Hi Kate :hi:

the eclipse starts about 8.15 pm - 10.30 ish, with the best part around 9ish. Pop outside for a look from 8,30 maybe and see how it goes.

www.stellarium.org (http://www.stellarium.org) is a great piece of free astronomical software, pop in your coordinates, then run the mouse down left side to alter the time and date for Monday at 9pm, zoom in on the Moon to see what it will look like.

Image is for townsville at 8.45 ... thereabouts (from Stellarium)
