Hi,

I'm wanting to do some planeatry with my HEQ5Pro mount.

I was thinking of the Skywatcher 203 x 1000 reflector from Andrews.

Would this do the trick? Would the mount hold it okay?

Many thanks for any advice.

cheers

niko

Andrews have recommended these 3. Any comments to help me spend my cash!

Skywatcher MAK127 OTA $499, or a Skywatcher 8" Newtonian OTA $299 or a GSO 8" Newtonian OTA $429 (f/4 imaging optimised type).

Hi Nico
The little mak would be my pick
Mainly because a lot easyer to handle than the big newts
Then get an alt-az and have a nice grab n go
Should go good on planets

I think an 8" Newt is your only option- anything smaller than 8" would be waste of time.

I have a C11 on HEQ5... but the HEQ5 has an extended counterweight shaft to use counterweights efficiently.
