Congratulations to Lachlan MacDonald (http://www.3rf.com.au/whoswho.asp) and his beautiful bride, Annette, who
were married at a lovely outdoor ceremony this morning at Cabarita here in
Sydney overlooking the Parramatta River. In attendance were many family and friends.
Many of you will know Lachlan through his long involvement at the ASNSW (http://www.asnsw.com/).
For example, Lachlan designed and maintained the ASNSW web site and was
a recipient of the club's most prestigious award, "The McNiven Medal (http://members.asnsw.com/node/19)".
Lachlan is also director of the volunteer group, 3RF Australia (http://www.3rf.com.au/).
Every year, Lachlan devotes a considerable amount of his
time and energy to freely making available large aperture telescopes to visiting observers
from the northern hemisphere and at public outreach events, such as the
one recently held at Parramatta Park.
Most of you will remember the Red Moon we had last December.
That Red Moon celestial event will forever after have a deep romantic connection for
Lach and Annette.
