$10 Bargin of the year

Was browsing through Gumtree and came across an ad for a telescope (pic attached)
So anyway called them up and drove over thinking it would make a nice little project or spare parts, and find out its a compete 8" OTA and yes only $10.
Got home and after washing both the primary(pic of washed mirror) and secondary mirrors, they are in pristine condition!
Can't wait to try it out.
I think its a Saxon/skywatcher 8" f/5.
I feel a little dirty buying it for only $10.

Nice bargain. I wouldn't feel guilty, the owners obviously didn't want it so if you hadn't grabbed it it may have ended up in the tip.

I took the scope out for test run tonight and it works perfectly. Prime Focus with the DSLR works also, so its all ready for astrophotography :)

The fact it was called a cylinder means seller new NOTHING about scopes.

FYI The lady i bought it off was in her 60's she was cleaning out her husbands shed.

I was dearly hoping to get that scope,but I couldn't afford it. Had to buy a pair of shoes from the Salvo's for my bare feet and a blanket to cover myself when I sleep in a fridge box in the alley.:(
