They look like this!

Help me empty this box!

http://shop.iceinspace.com.au/shop/iceinspace-eclipse-glasses/

Less than 1 month until the Venus Transit, prepare for the Solar Eclipse in November, and usable any time to look at sunspots!

Only $4 each, or $3.50 each when you order 4 or more.

Thanks Mike, mine arrived today.

I promise you, as I opened the envelope the sky clouded over and I haven't seen the Sun since.

Of course, it was just a coincidence - yeah right! :rolleyes:

Hi, I,ve just recently purchased 4 pairs of the eclipse viewing glasses and have a question regarding their use.
I have a Bintel 300mm dob and the end cap that fits over the open end of the scope has a 60mm diametre hole with a small cap that fits over it. I'm thinking of making another cap with a hole in it the same size as the filter plastic in the eclipse specs and using this to view the sun.
My question is;
is it safe to do this? The only sunlight reaching the eyepiece will be thru the 40mm x 25mm lens of the eclipse specs.
can anyone help
Simon

Hi Simon

Yes this would be fine - as long as you're careful that the only light coming through is filtered through the eclipse material at the FRONT END (and not at the eyepiece end), then it will be fine.

Great to hear! I had a look yesterday through them too, though there was no sunspots to view :(

Just an FYI, there has been phenomenal interest in the eclipse glasses over the past week and I actually SOLD OUT of all the glasses!

I've arrange to get another 200 from another local supplier to be able to keep filling the orders until the transit is over - the only thing is, they won't be IceInSpace branded.

Once the transit is over, I'll be getting another shipment of IceInSpace branded eclipse shades in plenty of time for the Solar Eclipse.
