Hutech DSLR drop in filters - anyone used one?

I am interested to find out how the Hutech drop in filters work on DSLRs especially full frame ones.

Do they work fine? Do they interrupt your lens or mirror?

Do they come loose?

I see they now have a metal frame that is screwed into the body on APS sized cameras. What about for full frame?

I've used both the clip in filter in my 1000d and the 2" screw in one for my 5d mkii. The 2" screws on to the tring extender. They were the astonimik cls one though not hutech, same thing though.

My advice would be to get the 2", as you will be able to use it on any camera, you can't use the clip in filter on the 5d they don't fit.

Not sure about the clip but the 2" filter will you just screw it on to the end of thr t ring adapter. Works well, and I have a lot of pollution where I an.

However then this can only be used with a telescope. Canon EF mount lenses cannot be used at all. With a clip-in filter on a crop camera (so NOT an eos 5) you can use all lenses except original Canon EF-S lenses.

True, I have both, but the clips won't fit the 5d mkii though thats why i had to get the 2" as well. I suspect that the 5d mkiii will be the same.
