This adorable wee green Goggo Mobile is currently residing at my sons work place. :) It's the only one in Australia that is actually up and running and registered.
I couldn't help but keep repeating the Shannon's ad over and over like a mantra the whole time we were there.

No not the Dart! Actually, it is the Dart!
Between 1957 and 1961 some 700 sports cars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_car) called Goggomobil Darts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goggomobil_Dart) were produced by Buckle Motors Pty Ltd in Sydney (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney), Australia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goggomobil#cite_note-Weiner58Dart-6) Other Goggomobil models were also produced under licence, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goggomobil#cite_note-Davis-10) including saloon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedan_%28automobile%29), coupe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coupe), coupe-convertible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coupe-convertible) and light van (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van) variants. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goggomobil#cite_note-11) These were fitted with Australian produced fibreglass bodies in place of the steel bodies of their German counterparts. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goggomobil#cite_note-Davis-10) Australian production totalled approximately 5,000 units. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goggomobil#cite_note-Davis-10)
