A month or two ago, I saw a funny photo on Facebook that I re-shared, of a guy doing a “Kung Fu” pose (https://www.facebook.com/mikesalway/posts/116497371809263) while taking a photo. And then about 2 weeks ago, I saw a blog post shared on Google+ (https://plus.google.com/u/0/103173073620061914688/posts/Dxw23qSBw5Y) with a collection of ‘funny poses (http://thechive.com/2012/03/26/photograpy-the-harder-it-looks-to-take-the-better-the-photo-i-guess-32-photos/)’ of photographers taking photos – some of them great :)

The gist was, the harder it is to take the photo, the better the photo turns out?

Well continuing on that theme, while at Nelson Bay last week, Kate and I took our own collection of funny photo poses. I used her compact as my camera, while she took photos of me using the camera phone. It was a lot of fun, and sometimes quite tricky and hard work holding the pose for long enough! :)

Check out the photos here :)

Lol. I've done some of those poses too. :) The kung fu style poses actually make sense. Very stable base, and that's what you need. :)

Great joke, Mike! :D Some of the postures recognizable - used to make them myself (with some variations). On serious note - yoga exercises while shooting don't help much - except adding some shake to the camera. It'hard to learn the right technique, then a good photo is just a matter of luck and vision.
