Need a BIG laser, where do I go?

A local company has contacted me as I am the guy who 'knows stuff'.
Basically they want to put a laser on a large industrial saw, and have it project a line onto the cutting surface, in full daylight and have it *highly visible*, and the line would need to be 2 metres long or so.

Does anyone know what sort of power laser we would be talking and who I would approach re getting one?

The OH&S issues etc. they will be handling, I just need to find them a supplier.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Hi Peter,

At work we use a Bosch line laser for marking straight lines on aircraft before painting, no idea where they got it but it is an industrial unit and throws a green line the full length of a Bell JetRanger helicopter from about 10 metres away, it's exactly how we painted the red stripes on the yellow Westpac rescue helicopters. It has mounting brackets as well for mounting on machinery etc. Google it, I'm sure you will find it.

Also there is a 3d unit

Draw it up in CAD on the PC and project it out onto your timber/steel/plastic, and start cutting !

Or go to Bunnings and buy a cheap Chinese circular saw that has a line leaser built in and rip it out, keep the saw for yourself !

The bosch unit sounds like the go though, they are going to be cutting universal column with it, they want to attach it to the blade itself, line it up, pull the laser off then cut away, rinse and repeat.
