After what you pulled together for Bear Cottage I believe you are strong enough to find your way forward and come out on top. You have acknowledged your demon and that's a huge step.

Thanks jjj,

I wish though. Half the time I extract my foot from my mouth first, to find the right answer stuck on the end of it

Clutching at straws here, and might be too much, too soon - but have you spoken to your GP about a medicare subsidised stint in inpatient rehab? Solves the problem of food and accommodation, if only for a short while... and even if it doesn't come to fruition, your GP might still be able to help link you in to other supports?

Good luck, matey

Astro, while you probably can't see how things can get better from this dark period in your life, in my experience the bad times are always followed by more good times; in a year or two you'll be glad you struggled through.

You'll most likely be able to reconnect with the people you've pushed away once you get your act together too - people are generally very forgiving if they can see that you're genuine.

All the best, Tony.

Peter, as casttony (Tony) said, people that you may have pushed away can very often be willing to help once they can see that you are really trying and would like their help. Don't be too quick to write them off.

It might be difficult for you to make the initial contact but you could be pleasantly surprised at their reaction. If you can feel that at least one person is on your side it can help you to look ahead and not behind.

Do not even think about giving up. That is simply not an option.
You are not a loser, just been dealt a crappy hand at the moment and you will win!!

Keep in touch and let us know how things are going.

Michael.
