Can someone tell me the pitch and thread size of the synta rings where it has an adapter which srews into the base of a comera for field photos? I need this information to order the correct tap size to cut threads for some additional mounting screws
Thanks

Allan, from measurements of a bolt that I have that fits, the thread diameter is 6mm and pitch is 1.3mm. After a google search I have found it to be 1/4 inch 20TPI

Yes Allan, just to confirm Mr acropolite's info, i just checked my synta 10" tube rings and both sides of mine are 1/4" B.S.W (British standard Whitworth) threads 20 t.p.i.
The only thread that is 6mm is the tube rings for my ed80 and they are M6x1mm on one side and 1/4 B.S.W. on the other. Hope this helps.

Many thanks for that. It shows what a great community we have here. I have ordered the tap I need to cut the threads for my guidescope rings.
Again thanks to you both
Allan
