Today I heard some sad news,
A fellow QCUIAG member and friend , Jan Timmermans from the
Netherlands passed away.
I had known Jan since the beginnings of QCUIAG, an international
user group dedicated to developing, testing and using webcams and
modified webcam devices in Astro-Photography.
I used to look forward to hearing from Jan around Christmas time and
we would send each other a funny photograph/ Xmas greeting yearly.
This from Steve Wainwright, founder of QCUIAG:
It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the death today of a much loved Elder of QCUIAG: Jan Timmermans, an extraordinary Dutchman who was a source of encouragement, inspiration and guidance to so many members of our group.
Within the next few days, an obituary will be placed on Jan's website, and when that happens, I shall, of course, let QCUIAG know.
Rest in vrede mijn goede vriend
Best regards
Steve
