Hi,
I came across this in one of the medical tv shows, and looked it up.
Traditionally a donor heart is packed with ice and transported to the recipient, but with this new technique, the donor blood is used and the heart keeps beating, "in a box", and this allows the heart to be transported across greater distances and there are other medical advantages, but I just thought the concept is pretty amazing.
