I wondered -what on earth does that mean? And I wasn't even in Kings Cross, rather Chatswood!

That's the best quick photo I could get from my car, sorry.

But I have read up a little. Seems it is an understood zone sign around the world:-

The one I saw was outside a school, I think.

They're at airports, too, I think.

My daughters school has had a "Kiss'n'go" zone for a gazillion years.

What, you can't guess?

We have them here in Perth, too.

Usually they are places where the partner drops the spouse off for a train ride; standing only for cars - no parking places. A quick goodbye kiss and they're off for the day!

Wow, I've never heard of it before!
I must be too Country-ised . There are none anywhere near here!

That's a new one for me. Never seen that before either.

Councils with a sense of humour, that's good to see.

Most schools have a "Kiss and Drop" zone - usually supervised quite heavily. It keeps the traffic moving and ensures that kids aren't put at risk with parents double-parking etc

 Eric!!! It's all very innocent, although i'd love to know what was going thru your head when you noticed this sign.

As Pete said, we have them too, i think they're fairly common esp at primary schools.

I haven't seen any (or noticed any) since I moved to QLD, but I'm not unfamiliar with them. The local bus/rail interchange in Salisbury SA close to where I grew up use to have them. I use to think they were funny when I was young but I knew what they were there for. :)

That may well be because living in the country, we do not figure in the public transport equation Ken.

Cheers.

Actually if the sign was out here there would be outrage.
