Hello people, just wondering if anyone caught the shooting star I did tonight.
I have never seen one that was so slow with such a long tail on it before. It was easily brighter than jupiter and must of taken between 7-10 seconds before it broke up into around 6+ pieces and faded. It was silver or white in colour and its tail would of been about the width of my fist outstretched in length. I was travelling on the M5 coming home and spotted it out the window! from google maps I figured it was travelling in a south east to north west direction.
What do you think it was that I saw? Are objects burning up really slow usually something falling out of orbit?
