I'm trying to stack images from a SXVR-M25C with DSS and I don't seem to be able to get a correct bayer matrix filter selection in the Raw/FITS DDP Settings dialogue box. I've got the monochrome box checked under the FITS tab but there is no camera there to select and the generic selections don't seem to produce a satisfactory colour.

Anyone got any ideas?

Paul,

if your osc camera doesn't appear in the list you will probably need to select a generic one from the top of the list - there are 4 possible bayer patterns:

RGGB
BGGR
GBRG
GRBG

This website is all about the verifying the bayer pattern for the QHY8 but I'm sure the methodology will work for any camera:

QHY-12 is GBRG. They're both Sony sensors. Surely they would be the same? ;) I tried all 4 combinations on an image of an emission neb and it was pretty obvious which was correct.

The SXVR-M25C is the same sony CCD as the QHY8 pro (ICX453AQ) so I'd select QHY8 pro in DSS.

tried that Pete and it didn't work, ended up magenta. That's the one I ended up going with Rick. Tried all 4, still had a colour imbalance but it was nothing I couldn't balance up in PS
