Hi again,
Continuing our trip and nearing the end. We travelled to Mt Lemmon for our night with Adam Block for an all-nighter (thanks astrofest for preparing us) then the 10 hour drive to Los Angeles.

On the way to Mt Lemmon and the skies look ominous.
From Tucson 38 Celsius to this – what is wrong with this picture?
Adam and the scope we will be imaging fromJ. A 32 “ RCOS ion milled reflectorJJJ.
Excited.
Excited2.
New out of the box SBIG 16??? With filters.
No indication of the ability of this scope as this is my attempt to process the Foetus Nebula with 40 min Red. 30 min Green and 30 min blue with no luminance.
Cropped version of foetus Nebula.
An indication of the scopes ability. Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker (3 hours) with only the slightest luminance adjustment with only Luminance data.
At 6 flags theme park in LA. This ride was just wrong.
And wrong.
Is it illegal to have that many loops?
Even wronger.
I wish I didn’t upsize my lunch.
No.
Griffith Observatory – the best museum observatory we have ever been to.
The 70 year old Griffith Observatory 12” refractor with all the shortcomings of Chromatic Aberration. But still a thrill.
We fly out of LA tonight and straight back into school on Monday. I’d hate to be a student in our classes for the first week as the slideshows go on and on and on.

Love how that roller coaster goes face down, save a lot of cleaning bills I'd think. LOL
