Hi Eric,

Argo Navis runs a multi-tasking operating system and has a time of day
clock and uses the orbital elements to compute the position of an
asteroid or comet from moment to moment.

The central authority for the publication of current orbital elements is the Minor Planet
Center at Harvard. Argo Navis uses the same format as TheSky.
See http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/iau/Ephemerides/SoftwareEls.html
A list of the orbital elements for comets currently observable
in a format that Argo Navis accepts can be found here -
http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/Soft06Cmt.txt

Argo Navis can accept as many as 10 orbital elements for comets
at a time. After downloading files from the Minor Planet Center, simply
use a plain text editor such as Notepad to edit the file to contain
just the entries you require.

To perform the transfer, you will require the Argo Navis serial
cable, pn-ser-cbl. If your computer only has a USB port, we recommend
to use the serial cable in conjunction with the Keyspan USB to Serial
Adapter model USA-19HS.

See Argo Navis User's Manual pp 160-161 and pp 163-166 on how
to transfer files.

Best Regards
