I once had a clock that was almost that accurate. It ran from a caesium beam standard of course and to synchronise it with the british time standard I had to preload the time that the pulse took to reach me. about 5 usecs.

I should hope you would surely be "late" for your funeral.

Time is a construct of the human mind... if we were all Martian, would the "second" still be a second long? A day on Mars is equal to 24h 37m 22.663s of Earth (Human) time...

Hmm.... maybe your wrist watch is accurate enough

Hubby just came back from Switzerland recently and bought himself a Tisot Swiss watch. Now, you just can't go to Switzerland without buying a Swiss watch now can you?!:P It's manual- seeing all that movement within the watch is amazing. :eyepop: It self winds by detecting your hand movement. Yep yep all well and good until you take the watch off, as he's found out. A voice yells out... "what's the time?"

Errrr, Barry your right, that's one thing I would actually want to be really really late for, I don't know why that is a famous saying:shrug:, makes no sense come to think of it.
