View Full Version here: : GSO RC8 flattener
Is there a field flattener available to use with the GSO RC8 scope to further reduce coma and produce a flatter field?
Cheers Carl

Hi Carl, there are several flatteners available from several manufacturers. I am using a Takahashi flattener for my scope, but I know of several people using the GSO flattener on this scope.

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought one of the major selling points of RC's was that they didn't need any flatteners etc?
Cheers,
Jason.

The major selling point is that they don't have coma. They do still have a curved focal plane...
I really need a specific answer to the original posted question. I've been advised by one member that i can use the Takahshi TSA-35 field flattener available from Hong Kong. But when i type this info into google the only thing close to that is TOA-35 at double the cost suggested.
I'm ready to buy this scope but not willing to until i can find out what flattener will help deliver the best results.
Help please
Regards
Carl
