Hi,

I came across this image from the VST telescope (Very Large Telescope Survey Telescope) of Omega Centauri.

I loved the documentary on the 7 biggest telescopes where the VLT was featured as well.

is that the sensor area on top of the Omega CAM , the 268Mp camera

Yep, here it is peeps, the ultimate CCD camera for your short FL refractor system AND your long FL SCT/RC. 268Mp!!!!. I'll buy 2 of them, thanks:):P

I found this image of two merging galaxies in their image archive. NGC 520

and then i ended up with the hubble catalog of interacting galaxies. I wonder if any of these are viable targets for amateur telescopes and if they're visible from our hemisphere.
