Looks interesting Trevor. Its amazingly compact.

I don't understand why an extra 2000Euros for an Atlas focuser. Is that referring to a FLI Atlas focuser?

Greg.

An upgrade, to have a larger focuser, low profile and heavy payload capacity is to use the Atlas focuser from FLI

pricey I know but these are the Ferrari of Itaian scopes IMO

compact and portable just what you need Greg and you wouldn't need an MX to carry it

Thanks Trev.

I wonder how they compare in terms of aperture - more to an APO or to an SCT or other design? They seem very short focal length and widefield.

It'd be probably easier and cheaper to buy an Atlas focuser direct from FLI.

These RH scopes are interesting designs. Like an SCT in a way with its corrector plate. I imaging dew control is pretty important like with an SCT.

I'd rather wait and see how long before my name comes up on the AP list. I put my name down pretty early on and Roland is currently making some more but waiting on glass.

Greg.
