The final but very important accessory I need to be able to use my new Orion Optics AG12 astrograph is a suitable flat fielding device.
Today my answer finally arrived in the form of the new Astronomik Aurora Flatfield Panel (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/133081431/original) and some of you may be interested to see this new product from Astronomik
It was sent via surface mail due to German post being informed by Australia post, around the times of the floods in NSW and QLD, that their warehouses were full and nothing was being accepted ...so it left Germany on 7 Jan and only just arrived today. I was getting nervous as I can't take a proper image with the new scope without this device.
Can't comment on its effectiveness yet as I haven't tried it out but it looks good :D. It runs off 12V DC through an inverter.
Anyway if you are interested there is a link to the new Aurora Panels under the image at my web site
