Having just purchased a 10mw green laser diode I'm currently wiring up and making the unit into a viewfinder for my scopes with double switches etc for safety. Not having used a laser finder before I'm a little apprehensive about looking through the scope or optical viewfinder when the laser is on, am I justified in being worried or there is noting at all to stress about by the beam being magnified.

If you are asking about seeing the image of the projected beam in your telescope, it is not a problem - the 10mw laser beam will not appear particularly bright in the scope - certainly there is no danger.

Be prepared though, for a very bright flash if an insect flies through the beam.
