Ooh, thanks, John. Any nifty new features?

Not like we're going to get to use them until March when La Nina buggers off. : (

H- apparently nothing noteworthy that I can see. I think the flurry of releases was to correct guiding pareters but since they don't really spell out exactly what they are attempting to I can't see any difference between the various options and straight ST4 guiding.

From the files section (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Gemini_ASCOM_Driver/files/Installation%20Files/)in the Gemini ASCOM yahoo tech group.

Just ensure you have all the appropriate software installed prior to installing this driver, aka all the software as per front page (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Gemini_ASCOM_Driver/?yguid=291281972) of the Gemini ASCOM group.

There is a Pdf help (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Gemini_ASCOM_Driver/files/Installation_instructions_%26_featu res/)for this driver in the files section as well.

Just remember Gemini ASCOM is a non official Losmandy group (I believe). It was started as a freeware driver in competition to the Losmandy Gemini GCC (http://www.docgoerlich.de/)driver.

It appears the Gemini ASCOM driver is more advanced and better updated in that it now has connectivity for the Gemini 2...and the GCC does not (yet).

Losmandy has always been slow in providing support updates. I'm not making excuses but it's probably because he has a limited support team to do this and keep costs down. His company is 1000 times smaller than skywatcher but his equipment is much better...except for the slow support.

edit:
The Gemini 1's had no manual as well. You could download this from the Losmandy site but alas none for the Gemini 2 yet! Same for software aka GCC (no driver update yet) and Gemini ASCOM (functionality for G2 is added)
