While there is a dearth of female cosmologists and particle physicists here is one spunky looking lady who has been named in Time Magazines top 100 scientists and thinkers.

She has the ability of communicating science to the masses as exemplified by her book Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions.

Sorry Craig while Ed Witten might be your hero, I prefer Lisa any day. She has the brains and the looks.

Hmm .. not bad looking from the 'Time' photo .. 48 years old, eh ?
Marital status ??? … unknown … other vitals ?? .. unknown
Photo in Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_Randall) .. tough looking !! .. wouldn't wanna wrangle with her on topics discussed here!
Love to read her book. A 'must get', by the sound of it !
Graduated with Brian Greene, eh ??

Ok.. Randall's Hamster it is ! ..for a day ..maybe more after I've read her book !

Cheers
PS: The time photo is 3 years old !! I've always kind of favoured Carolyn Porco .. she's got a sense of humour and is more of a dreamer, though … hmm …decisions, decisions ..!

Her vitals? What do you want to know her figure measurements, IQ or both.;)

They didn't have supervisors like this when I was at Uni.

I've just hooked Suzy into looking at this thread !!

Ah now that I've snooped out some of Lisa's papers, it looks like she's spent time working on all items (3) to (7) !:

From Steven's list of difficulty:

Hmm … no slouch all right !!

Yes, I do know about Lisa, and yes she is good looking:)

And yes, I did have a tutor in an undergrad 2nd year Comp Sci subject better looking than Lisa:):P

She had been a part time model when she was in high school...she was finishing up her PhD at the time.

And I wish she (Lisa) was a member here...Alex would be toast (and so would the rest of the EU/PC crowd, including Peratt et al):):P

Bit of an anti-climax there, Carl ..

Need to clear your mind of PC/EU, fella …
… mine is !!

Got a lot more to worry about than those fools. But it would be funny to watch a tenured, world famous, Harvard Uni Chair of Physics tear these guys apart with just a few words:):):)

I doubt Peratt and Co would be game to open their mouths:):)

I was prepared to download the YouTube clip with my ultraslow dial up connection.

Wow a supporter of the very old Kaluza-Klein theory which is a precursor to string theory.

Smart, attractive and not exactly mainstream.:)

Pamela Gay (http://www.starstryder.com/about-me/) isn't hard on the eyes either.

A public school kid through and through, I received a B.S. in Astrophysis from Michigan State University in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Texas in 2002. Today, I teach at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Although my first research love was and remains variable stars (I even serves on the council of the American Association of Variable Star Astronomers), I have committed scientific adultery more than once to steal moments for exploring the secrets of galaxy evolution. Today, I am part of the Galaxy Zoo collaboration, and work with an amazing team of students helping writing the software and education content for the Zoo.

Then there's also that total smokin' hot BABE who was on Universe, and, was project director or manager of the WISE infra-red survey camera that went up recently.

I've drawn a mind blank and can't recall her name. But, oh, boy...

 Okay, I'll play this game, I don't know where you guys get your taste from, but if I were a guy it would have to be Amy Mainzer from JPL.
http://www.cosmicdiary.org/blogs/nasa/amy_mainzer/?page_id=2.

And I'll share with you'll words of wisdom which my husband so often tells me (when I lust after gorgeous guys) "I reckon I would have a better chance at scoring". Amy where are you ....
