I purchased the 8" Meade LX200 ACF OTA a few months ago. It was barebones with no accessories. Have finally got it configured to a point where it is ready for some serious imaging. Added ADM dovetails to the top and bottom (vixen style). Yes, they are good for 8" size scopes:). Also have a GSO 8x50 finder with QHY5 Guider. Guides spot on every time with the HEQ5 Pro Mount;). I mainly image at f/8 and f/6.3 with FR's. Once this was sorted, my main problem was camera tilt. Fixed this by getting a WO 2" visual back and camera adapter...The vb has two fixing screws and the camera adapter has a smooth radial cut with no safety groove...so no slop...similar to the AP one.
The focuser on the SW ed80 is crap...don't image with it. I tossed tossed up whether to get the moonlite or feathertouch focuser for the ed80. They are both great focusers. I ended up getting the red moonlite...looks so cool.
