Well at least they didn't try to deny the existence of yowies or drop bears. That would be pseudo-science ;).

Very funny.
Now what element covers this classic from a right wing anti-relativity site?:P
"Some liberal (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/Liberal) politicians have extrapolated the theory of relativity to metaphorically justify their own political agendas. For example, Democratic (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/Democratic) presidential candidate Barack Obama (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/Barack_Obama) helped publish an article by liberal law professor Laurence Tribe (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/Laurence_Tribe) to apply the relativistic concept of "curvature of space" to promote a broad legal right to abortion (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/Abortion).[45] (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/#cite_note-44) As of June 2008, over 170 law review articles have cited this liberal (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/Liberal) application of the theory of relativity to legal arguments.[46] (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/#cite_note-45) Applications of the theory of relativity to change morality have also been common.[47] (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/#cite_note-46) Moreover, there is an unmistakable effort to censor or ostracize criticism of relativity.[48] (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/#cite_note-47)"
Unbelievable.

Steve, leaving aside who wrote what etc... I can only assume that if they are using these 'facts' to attack relativity their argument must run something like 'People (misuse) relativity to justify things we don't like. Therefore there is something wrong with relativity.' How can this be justified? Relativity must be judged on what it says and the predictions it makes. And it only makes predictions about the physical world.
In a similar vein, how many times have people used Darwin, or more likely some misconception of Darwin, to argue a socio/political point? Whatever the quality of their argument it isn't the fault of Darwin.
Sorry, that sort of misuse of science gets me on my soapbox. Now back to the periodic table.

To see the sum total of human stupidity in one place is a real revelation.
Education is the only cure!
I must admit I prefer V8's to Sixes, even though a six of the same capacity has better pickup.

The mind of the creator of that is something I'd aspire to in my most lucid state of consciousness but definitely something I'd be trying to avoid in any euphoric situation ... cause I'd be waffling on the biggest load of bunkem ... and believing it :lol:
Its a true work of art !!!
Gee's Bert, that sounds a bit tuff,

I'd doubt that even comes close to being 5-10% of the sum total of human stupidity:):P
Some of those "elements" are infinitely more stupid than others.

Ah the good old periodic table. It sums up all that is needed in science and now it seems all that is not needed as well . Great find, I will distribute this amongst my students tommorrow:).
