Taken immediately (the day after, see my apology further up the page) following the partial eclipse. And a rather pathetic attempt at the eclipse itself!

Update: New improved version of eclipse.

The moon returned to normal after the eclipse, so the red must have come from something else. Creates an interesting effect though.
The eclispe shot is not that bad.

It must be street lighting filtered through very thin cloud in that case. There was no discolouration around the moon, but the image shows a slightly pink tinge to it.

Thanks for the encouragement. Processing the eclipse has been challenging - another steep learning curve. Still a way to go yet.

I found focus difficult to achieve - could it be that the camera and optics were not at ambient temperature? The moon was sharp in the view finder and I thought so in live view, but the images were fluffy - lots of sharp was required during processing - much more than usual.

Hmmm..
It must have been taken a day or so after eclipse right?
Immediately after eclipse you would not be able to see the craters..
But, all in al both are pretty good shots.

Sorry folks, the full moon is the day after. I'd deleted the images from the 26th along with a pile of others by mistake. No dates on the folders I created for different exposures - lesson learned.

Thanks bojan.

Not happy!
