Hi All

Great weather in Sydney at the moment. Never mind.

I am giving my EQDIR from Shoestring the flick, intermittent faults, and have purchased the eqdirect-usb lead from Dontronics. #16493.

I think I solder the leads as follows

Solder Pin 6 of the 9 way D-type Plug to the Orange wire.
Solder Pin 9 of the 9 way D-type Plug to the Yellow wire.
Solder Pins 4 & 5 of the 9 way D-type Plug to the Black wire.

Is pin 1 on the DE9 connector the pin on the top left and pin 9 on the bottom right when looking at the pins from the front?

If anyone has done this, is this what I should be doing?

I have looked at the eqmod site etc but just thought I'd ask first, just in case I have made a mistake.

Thanks

Harry

Aren't there numbers actually on the face of the connector?

If you look at the plastic lands around the pins of the D-sub plug you can see the embossed numbers for each pin position - no probs!

just a shot of my DB9 connector that I am going to connect to the Dotronics usb to serial when I get it.
Hopefully this can give you a guide as to where pin 1 is. This is a view of the soldering side.
