hi all probably a silly question so hear gos my scope is permanently mounted in observatory do i leave ccd and eye pieces on scope or remove them, witch is best.:question:

Up to yourself. If you leave them on, you don't have to keep putting them back on when you want to use them later on. However, I usually take my ep's out and store them. If you do take out your ep's and/or CCD, make sure you you take out the diagonal and close the rear cell with a cap. If you leave them in, get something to cover them when not in use.

hi carl yes i do do cover them, it is a lot of aisle to set up every time.

My CCD camera and the guider never get taken off the scopes. I cover the entire scope if I'm not using it for a few days but otherwise leave it uncovered to let any dew dry off it.
