:help2: Bought one of these late last year, and only tried to use it today .
It is supposed to scan your negatives and store them digitally on you PC.
Have loaded all the software, and tried to scan my negs, but the image I get in the 'liveview', and save, is still a negative.
I think it is supposed to come out in the original colours ... somehow.
Anybody know or used them??
Have read quite a few reviews, and it works, but is slow??

Hi Liz

In my experience, most (budget) scanning processes are relatively slow. Is the device a USB1 or USB2 unit? If it is USB2, is it connected to a USB2 port on your computer, or is your computer only USB1?

Most photo processing software should be able to convert a negative colour image into a positive colour photo. Here is an example in Photoshop of a new EWD that has moved in under our house!

Cheers

It must be a setting of the scanner software than came with the scanner.
There must be possible to choose between transparencies (dia) and negatives..
It is not only just conversion from negative to positive, you should be able to specify the type of the negative as well (ie Kodak, Fuji etc.. they are very different and require different color balance when converting into positive)

Ys, I think I still havent down something right with the software and might reload it all.
It sounds like it should be easier than I have found it.

Hi Liz

She is as pretty as a picture! Here is my quick effort at trying to recover some of the original qualities of the photo.

Cheers
