A rare beastie for sale on http://www.astromart.com/auctions/details.asp?auction_id=5324

If you have a Newtonian f/4.5 - or faster - this is for you.

Many years ago someone put one in my f/3.7 12" - it was the first and possibly only eyepiece able to give sharp images to the edge of the FoV on that scope.

I'd have to add the 18mm Radian to the list. Shows pinpoint stars at the edge with the fastest scope I've used it in ( F4 )

The reason the Pretoria never took off 25 years ago was that they were hand made in small batches of 5 or so , and they only had a 50 degree apparent field.

I bought my 28 here a couple of years back

great eyepiece that does what its supposed to regarding coma
interesting to look at design wise when you pull it apart
both groups at each end seem to be 1.25" but the centre double convex one
seems to make the need for the 2 " barrel ?

Don't know if you would sell many today with the competition it would be dealing with.
