I'm please to tell you all that I finally had my C9.25 OTA delivered to me this afternoon. Yes, only the OTA and I'm still thinking about which mount to go to (possibly the EQ6 skyscan, not sure yet)

dare not to as it was delivered to our company's store and it is dusty, bye the way, the shoulder of my colleague are more shaky than the EQ1.

Bill,

That will be frustrating. A lovely new scope and you can't use it until you get a mount!!!

Thread title edited to be descriptive of content.
With so many threads on this forum we look at the title to decide if its worth clicking.

P.S. Congrats on the new scope :)

Easy one Bill. Get either Pentax or TeleVue ep's and you can't go wrong. But seeing that you are going to be more of a imaging astronomer maybe you might want to splurge more on your imaging system and mount :)

Bill

Going to be very interesting to read your posts over the coming days.

I'm also likely to be a new C9.25 owner shortly. Will be very enlightening to see how it's panning out for you.

Nice choice, they really are a sweet scope, and by the look of Robbies images, good for that as well.
If push came to shove (and assuming you have prerequisite skills) why not make a simple dob base for it for a while. I have a dob base for my Mak (OK it is a Mak/Newt, but the same applies), and for visual/quick and dirty it excells. For imaging, or very high power viewing I use it on a GEM. The dob base with DSC's though is the clear winner.

Let us know how this scope performs as it is on my list of possibles to replace the LX200 in the future.

I think he has not gotten a chance to test it out yet as he is away on business. Also he does not have a mount :) He might have to borrow one of the many mounts that David's (westky's) own's :)

Let us know when you get back so we can give your scope a test run. Might have to get Dave to bring one of his mounts. BTW did you hear that Dave may be selling his C11 ;)

can only back to brisbane until 10th nov or even later. i didn't hear anything about david selling his c11, i should consider to trade my c9.25 with his c11 without paying any additional charge.
