Hi,

Long story short (long story included below for the curios) I need to get someone to make me a custom adapter. Is there anyone in Aus that you can recommend? Ideally it would be someone local (Sydney) that I can go see as I don't want to send away parts of my scope and not see them for months. I found: http://moggadapters.com.au/astro/adapter.asp whilst Googling but can't figure out if he's in Aus or US and if you can visit him.

Long Story Version:
I got myself a crayford focuser for my Mak Cas a week or two ago and managed to attach it to the eyepiece barrel with a SCT to 2" eyepiece barrel converter. This works fine except for one miscalculation/oversight. The adapter, the eyepiece barrel, the focuser and my diagonal make a long long heavy connection to the back of my Mak. This results in the wobbles at high mags that are more annoying than the image shift I tried to overcome by buying a crayford . This is why I want to eliminate some of this with a custom thread adapter.

For the ultra curious my previous post on SCT adapters and my Mak:

Steven Mogg is in Australia. If you contact him, you should be able to work something out.

You can also try Luke Bellani at www.starstuff.com.au (http://www.starstuff.com.au), although he is in Melbourne.

Ashley at Precise Parts in Miami is good but expensive. He knows all the correct spacings.

I think Mogg use Delrin ( a strong plastic) and may not do metal but ask him in case I got that wrong.
