some of the prototypes are finished apart from the anodising, firstly there is the top mounting plate for the Meade scopes although they will be made for other models as well, these are made from aircraft grade aluminium and are friction reduced on all running surfaces, they can mount guide scope rings, cameras and pretty much everything else fully adjustable and secured with an Allen head grub screw, the second plate is a dovetail to mount large SCT's or Newtonians to EQ6's or any other standard dovetail slide with the added advantage of a large plate that sits on top of the mount and stops the sideways flex caused by larger optical tubes especially when carrying a guide scope or other heavy equipment. these will also be made to suit other set-ups soon.

Mick, have you got a lathe?

I have got a local buy building me some stuff as prototypes for motorizing the dob and some imaging parts that the retailer have to source from overseas. some need little add-on sales!!

They look fantastic Mick, a credit to your ability and skill. They look more than professional, they look solid, reliable and "safe" non flexing mounts!

Gold, nice touch (for your scope Mick?)

Mick are you selling these? If so put me down for a mounting plate to suit a 10" Meade so that I can mount my Orion properly.

Great stuff, very resourceful.

the new mounting plate fitted to the LX 200 with the Zenithstar, this is the first chance to fit it and it works a treat.

l did Tony, just drilled and tapped my own holes, the adjustable rings you buy are too sloppy, l will be making rings to suit but they take a bit of time and a lot of trial fitting to get right, probably about christmas. l'll pm you about some measurements for the C11.
