no Chris it is really real. Communucations was not the best point of this, as to other factors, including the devalued dollar. there will be some very careful testing of this scope I can guarantee that!

Good news, David!
There's not much in the way of surface detail visible at the moment, but as we know that can quickly change!
I'd be really interested in hearing your comments on this scope.
Does it come with a BF600 or the larger BF1200?
( I'm still waiting on some clear weather over here to get some images from a SolarMax 60 ( double stack); hopefully we can compare the results...)

A standard webcam with the 1.25" adaptor is a great starting point!
Registax does all the hard work for you.
When you get "hooked" you'll go over to the DMK 21 like the rest of us!!! ( or if you've got any money left the $$$$$$ DMK41)

already have the DMK 21 - so that will be the weapon of choice - just have to learn how to use it. only ever used it for guiding

Good luck with your new kit David. Hopefully the weather up there will do the right thing for you.

Look forward to your first light report and pictures.

Heres to clear day time skies, and night too.
