I have replaced a RA motor on my 10" LX 200 classic.
There is now a lot of backlash / slack / drift in RA.

The screws that attaches the motor to the RA housing seem tight.

Any suggestions on how to adjust the RA motor.
How tight should the screws be?
Should there be any movement in the RA motors position?

thanks

as you will have noticed the motor sits on a hinged arrangement with a small grub screw adjuster that dictates the amount of movement the motor has, this allows for small irregularities in the drive gear. lf this has too much movement you will have slop in the drive train causing the issues you mentioned.

Did your 12” ‘scope shrink down to 10” in the January/February storms?

Cheers

Hi Dennis

The 12" didn't shrink, but i planted a 80mm SC i had during the wet.
I has finally grown to a useful size, 10 inches, so i dedcided to pick it

I had the 10" since March last year, you would have seen it at the astrofest.
