My 12" dob has 4 fans on the mirror cell, and I really need those fans to be operating so I'd just want to ask, does anyone know what type of power supply fits the type of socket shown in the picture (the white thing to the right of the fans)?

Looks like a standard RCA connector socket to me (next to the white thing which is just a joiner block).

Any electronics shop such as Jaycar will be able to supply.

4 ??? fans , you can't really need 4 DC fans . I would think one 80mm or 90mm diam fan would be more than sufficient to equilibrate your mirror

yep I noticed that too - do Bintel sell any power supplies that might work with this?

can't go wrong with the cooling power of 4 fans :D The scope actually was already fitted with the fans when I bought it.

You'll need a 1 - 1.5 amp 12V 'plug pack' style regulated power supply from DSE or Jaycar to run the fans. Get a RCA plug and connect the + from the plug pack to the center pin, and the - to the sleeve. You probably should also put an inline fuse in there just in case. If the fans spin backwards, reverse the polarity...

Or something like this (attachment) to drive from 12VDC

If you connect in parallel to a 12VDC supply , the duty is 100% and the fans should spin at max revs.
