Mount advise EQ5 or Vixen GP-E

Greetings all,

As the title suggests do I det a EQ5 or the Vixen GP-E. My requirements would be/are an entry level imaging mount, the scope at the moment is an WO Petzval and I could not see myself ever going above an 80mm refractor.

Also any suggestions on a camera, I was thinking the G Star or something in that price range.

Hi Peter,
My choice would be the Vixen.
As you want to image with just a 80mm refractor it should be ideal.
Also you will find that the gears will be more accurately machined so there will be less errors and less hastles with the tracking especially if you intent on doing short unguided exposures.
As for a camera this depends on what you want to image?
Why not get a DSLR?
