Wow.... I am trying out some moonlit Ha imaging tonight with the DSI Pro II - guiding through the DMK - I think the DMK might be more sensitive - I'm sure it brings up more of the Tarantula with a 1 sec exposure than the DSI does! Might try some DSOs with it!

Be interesting to see a comparison, Lee.

Some at 1 sec, 5 sec, 10 sec, 20 sec and 30 sec.

Ahhh, go the full hog, try 120 sec as well :)

I'll have to get around to it - haven't installed the capture software yet - I have only used it with PHD guiding so far.....

You will have to make sure that You have your tonal range matching, remember the DMK is only 8 bit while the DSI is 16bit.

When did you get the DMK? Which one?

They're great cameras!

I picked up a DMK 21AF04.AS (http://www.theimagingsource.com/en/products/cameras/firewire_mono/dmk21af04/) at Bintel a few weeks ago - mainly I wanted a no hassle sensitive guide camera, with the option of maybe doing some planetary/lunar imaging at some stage. I don't regret it....
